Two instrumental music specialists from Michigan, USA to visit SLOS on Friday 17 November 2017

SLOS will be visited by two instrumental music specialists from Michigan, USA on Friday 17 November 2017.
This visit is a continuation of an exchange partnership that the South Lanarkshire Instrumental Music Service has enjoyed with schools in Michigan for several years. During week commencing 13 November 2017, Bryan Van Toll (Band Director at Three Rivers High School) and Katie Jewell (Band Director at Coldwater High School) will be working closely with music instructors and pupils throughout South Lanarkshire, sharing good practice and observing a diverse variety of musical activities.
We are delighted that their busy schedule will include a visit to South Lanarkshire bands and string orchestras, where they will observe how South Lanarkshire delivers instrumental learning and teaching. We plan to give them a warm welcome at SLOS and invite them to observe all of our ensembles during rehearsals.
